Precious's father Gailey Turyahebwa is addressing the community in Kifumbira, Kamwokya, Uganda, on the Women, Children and Human Rights amidst HIV/AIDS.

Gailey trains a team of young girls in Netball, after vocational training class. Girls have been at risk of HIV/AIDS, and lost both of their parents – complete orphans. A brass band was there, hired for the function.

The community of Kamwokya, Uganda in a march organised by Gailey against domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, and support for Women and Children’s Rights.

Vulnerable children can be seen in active participation – most of them are HIV/AIDS orphans and single parents!

Gailey ran a free school in a Catholic church building in Kamwokya when Ewan McVicar visited from Scotland 30 years ago. The two became firm friends and participated in various projects - including The Bird Exchange of artistic bird images between schools in Scotland and Uganda, and support for Gailey's community work in his home area in south-east Uganda.
Gailey visited Scotland one year to take a key part in the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
Precious is the fourth of five children to Gailey and Jean Turyahebwa. The above is an eample of the community work of Precious's father, sadly lost to us.
